Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Your PIN is a unique 4-digit number that identifies you as the owner of your Citi™ MasterCard® card. You shouldn't give your PIN to anyone and must keep any record of your PIN separate from your Citi MasterCard card at all times. You will be liable, as allowed by law, for all transactions in which your card and your PIN have been used together.

Self Select PIN

Citi Cards Canada makes your life a little easier with our Self Select PIN service. Choose a PIN that matches another number you use often. That's one less number to remember. Or choose a number with personal significance to you; that way you'll never forget it. Word of advice: make sure it's a number that is hard for anyone else to figure out. It's easy. Simply call 1-800-387-1616 (within North America) or call collect at 416-947-2900 anytime. Our friendly, bilingual Customer Care Associates are ready to take your call. They'll send you an easy-to-complete PIN selection form right away.

Once we receive the form, your new PIN will be valid within seven days. Self Select PIN service gives you one more reason to reach for your Citi MasterCard card every time.

Changing Your PIN

To request a change to your PIN call Citi MasterCard Customer Care at
1-800-387-1616 within North America) or call collect from outside North America at 416-947-2900.

How to Self Select your PIN

Contact a Customer Care Associate by calling
1-800-387-1616.

Fill out the PIN selection form.

Use your new PIN within seven days of the form being received.
